ELIAICHI KIMARO (Director, Producer, Writer, DP)
Activist-turned-filmmaker Eliaichi Kimaro is founder/director of 9elephants productions, a company that uses video to bring stories of struggle, resistance and survival to a broader audience.
9elephants produces videos for non-profits working within underserved communities to address social and economic justice issues. Kimaro brings a lifetime of personal and professional experience exploring issues of culture, identity, race, class, and gender to her Award-winning directorial debut, A Lot Like You.
Drawing upon her 10-year film journey, she is currently on the campus/conference lecture circuit engaging communities across the country山东11选5开奖结果 in discussion about some of the issues in her film, including gender-based violence, global mixed race/multicultural issues, cultural identity and the power of personal storytelling.

Eric Frith is an editor, producer, and director creating projects that have screened at top film festivals (Sundance, SIFF, TIFF, SXSW, etc.), received numerous awards and been acquired for distribution, both nationally and internationally (Miramax, Dream Entertainment, Cinema Management Group, Off the Fence, Independent Lens, American Masters PBS, Phase 4 Films.)

PETE DROGE (Producer, Composer)
Pete has an authentic, natural approach to music—it’s what drew Cameron Crowe to request Pete write a song for his film , and why Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart collaborated with him on the main title theme to the Miramax movie Beautiful Girls.
A Lot Like You is Pete’s third feature film score. He has also served as composer on short films by noted filmmakers Ward Serrill, John Jeffcoat, and Justin Mitchell.
In every project he takes on, Pete brings the passion and experience of an expert, genuine, down-to-earth songwriter. When Pete Droge follows the muse, there’s a sense, as he sings in his underground cult hit, of “goin’ whichever way the wind blows”—to a natural place, where real music helps tell real stories.
TERRI BASSETT (Graphic Design, Animation)
Terri Bassett is a multifaceted and award winning creative director, designer, animator, videographer, editor, producer and writer serving the broadcast/cable, corporate and nonprofit industries for over 20 years. She is currently the Founder and Creative Director of Regalis, Inc., a Seattle area design and moving media company.
Terri’s projects for clients such as National Geographic and CBS have garnered prestigious awards from Broadcast Designers Association, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Telly Awards and the Themed Entertainment Association.
MATT DAVID (Illustration)
Born and raised in Northern California, Matthew David learned to draw as a way to keep the things he loved close by. He graduated college with a BFA, Graphic Design and nurtured his love for visual narrative with an ever-growing comic book collection. Today he keeps his feet in both worlds but hopes to make comic book creation more than just a dream. His collaboration with Animator extraordinaire Terri Bassett, on this documentary film is his first foray into animation.
